Benedictine monks of Luján [May 2026]

The Luján Monastery was founded in 1916 in Buenos Aires by monks from Silos (Spain). The community moved to Luján in 1987. The community comprises ten monks.
Sources of income: production of chocolates, jams, fruit jellies, cheeses, honey, liqueurs and olive oil. The monks also run an art restoration workshop.
Project:
Brother Ezequiel is beginning a Bachelor’s degree in ecclesiastical studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome). He already holds a Bachelor’s degree in ecclesiastical studies. He will then be able to teach biblical theology at the monastery and also in other communities of the Benedictine Congregation of the Southern Cone. Financial support would be needed to cover enrolment and accommodation costs.
